History
Montage Medical Group, formerly called Peninsula Primary Care, launched as a nonprofit, public service physician group in 2009. It focused on addressing the shortage of primary care doctors on the Monterey Peninsula.
In 2015, the group’s primary care practices received national recognition as Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Homes (the highest level of achievement) from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This means patients get team-based, complete care to improve long-term health outcomes.
In 2016, Peninsula Primary Care joined the Montage Health family and changed its name to Montage Medical Group.
Wide range of specialties
Montage Medical Group has brought new types of hard-to-find specialists to the Monterey Peninsula and eased the area’s shortage of primary care physicians. The group includes specialists in:
