Mark Vierra, MD is a graduate of the University of California San Diego and Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency in surgery at Stanford University in 1990. Dr. Vierra joined the Stanford University faculty in 1990, and practiced there until 2001. He is board certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is married to Dr. Kathy Swanson, a gastroenterologist with GI Consultants in Monterey.
