Richard Gray, MD, graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, completed his residency at Sepulveda VA Hospital in Los Angeles, and finished his cardiology fellowship training at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. He practiced at Cedars-Sinai for 18 years and was a professor at University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. In 1992, he was appointed professor and chairman of medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. He later became director of cardiovascular services at Health Partners, chief of cardiology at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota and a professor at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. In 2002 he was named director of Sutter Pacific Heart Centers in the Bay Area. He joined Community Hospital in 2009 and practices cardiology with Montage Medical Group. Dr. Gray is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and lipidology. Dr. Gray enjoys restoring vintage cars and trucks and, with his wife Carolyn, raising pygmy goats.
