I’ve always been very passionate about fitness. Growing up I would play a variety of sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, and tennis. After high school, I started incorporating more resistance training into my daily routine and found an interest in creating various workout programs that combined aerobic and anaerobic components. I also did a lot of volunteering at the Montage Wellness Rehab Center as a physical therapy aide and grew interested in creating programs for those with limited mobility.
Through my first years of college I started working at the Montage Wellness Center in Salinas as a fitness assistant and a group exercise instructor. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience working with different types of people with different backgrounds and with different abilities. I brought all that with me to Marina once I received my American College of Sports Medicine Certification and graduated with my bachelor’s in Kinesiology from California State Monterey Bay.
I find my job to be rewarding because I am able to meet new people every day and help them create individual programs that will help them reach their fitness goals.
Philosophy:
