Dr. VanderWoude (she, her, hers) is a licensed clinical psychologist from Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has lived in seven states, but likes California the most. Dr. VanderWoude fell in love with healthcare at an early age when she would spend time with her mom at her family’s primary care offices. Since then, she has worked in children’s hospitals and other healthcare settings across the country as an expert in eating disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, parenting skills, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. When she is not in session, she loves to cook, read, hike, and watch baseball (go Cards). One of her favorite quotes is: “it’s the story of one of those perpetual survivors - an expert at being left behind.” – Markus Zusak.
