Classes and support groups
Search our online calendar for upcoming classes led by expert instructors on pregnancy, preparing for childbirth, parenting, breastfeeding, and other topics. We also offer support groups.
When you register to deliver at the birth center, you’ll receive a free online childbirth class and booklet. You can use these resources to learn at your own pace about:
- Labor and delivery
- Cesarean birth
- Breathing and relaxation
- Postpartum recovery
- Infant care
You’ll also receive lists of local resources and organizations that offer ongoing support groups and opportunities to meet new and expectant parents.
Once in-person childbirth classes resume, class size will be limited. These classes are led by a Lamaze-trained registered nurse and designed for pregnant people:
- In their second or the early part of their third trimester
- Who plan to give birth at the Family Birth Center
In addition to breastfeeding classes, our lactation experts can provide breastfeeding education while you’re in the hospital and after you go home. These one-on-one sessions can focus on problem-solving, success strategies, and nutrition. We're officially a Baby-Friendly Hospital, committed to successful breastfeeding.
