Free childbirth education course: In-person and online
Feel confident and prepared to welcome your new baby into the world. With in-person classes led by our Birth Center Nurses, or with free access to InJoy Health Education’s complete self-paced childbirth education course, you’ll learn more about:
- What to expect during labor
- How to talk about your needs
- What pain management options you have
- What to expect during a C-section
- How to care for your baby
- How to care for yourself after you give birth

How to sign up
After you register in MyChart to give birth at Community Hospital, you will receive an access code to use on InJoy Health Education’s website. Once you create an account and log in, you can enter the access code. This unlocks the complete childbirth education course in addition to the InJoy Birthing digital library. You’ll have a chance to:
- Learn about tools including Injoy Health Education’s birth plan worksheet, hospital packing list, and contraction timer
- Practice coping measures like massage, guided imagery, paced breathing techniques, and labor positions
- Watch videos on birth, early labor, C-sections, and real-patient birth stories
InJoy support is available Monday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–4 p.m., or Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m., by calling (800) 326-2082, ext. 0, or emailing support@injoyhe.com. Any emails or voicemails received after hours will receive a response on the next business day. Offices are closed for most major holidays.
Breastfeeding education
Take an in-person or online breastfeeding class, both of which cover the same material. You can:

Learn alongside other expecting parents at an in-person class with expert nurses, known as certified lactation education specialists.
Our lactation experts also provide breastfeeding education while you’re in the hospital and after you go home. These one-on-one sessions focus on problem-solving, success strategies, and nutrition. Our Baby-Friendly® hospital staff give you the support you need to breastfeed successfully.
