Joy Wilfong, PA-C, graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a B.S. in Psychobiology and received the UCLA Regents Scholar Award. She completed her physician assistant training at Chapman University’s Masters of Medical Science Physician Assistant program, and completed her clinical rotations in highly-ranked facilities such as University of California Irvine Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and St. Joseph Heritage Health.
Her passion for urology started when she worked as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant in urology prior to PA school. Through this she gained extensive experience assisting in cystoscopies, bladder intravesical therapies, testosterone pellet implants, and other various urological procedures. Her dedication is driven by the bonds she builds with her patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment she holds in keeping them healthy and well. She understands that urological issues can be a sensitive topic for patients to discuss, and through her caring approach she strives to create a safe space for patients to feel comfortable speaking openly with her regarding their needs.
She is interested in many aspects of urology, especially urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and prostate cancer. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, calligraphy, shopping for vintage home decor, and exploring new restaurants with her husband.
