Michael Jacobson, MD, PhD, is board certified in urology. He completed his doctorate in chemistry in 1997 at the University of Washington in Seattle and did a postdoctoral fellowship there in clinical molecular genetics. He earned his medical degree at UW, graduating in 2005. He completed his residency at UC Davis. Before to coming to Monterey, he was chief of urology at Highland Hospital in Oakland, a major trauma center and teaching hospital. He is interested in all areas of urology, especially stone disease and urologic cancer. He is also interested in how nutrition, exercise, and overall wellness can affect most urologic conditions.
Dr. Jacobson loves dogs, and will gladly show pictures of Riley- his Shepherd/Husky mix.
He has a passion for traveling and has been all over the world. During the pandemic he has become a road cyclist, logging about 150 miles a week and rides with a local group. He looks forward to exploring new locations on his bike.
