Sara Sorci Steele, PsyD, PMH-C, specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She obtained her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) in 2024 through Postpartum Support International (PSI). She chose this path because she’s honored to share in the emotional journey of others. She is comfortable working with the elderly, those who identify as transgender, and is growing her competence in working with postpartum mothers. She guides treatment based on her clients’ values and keeps up with evidence-based practices delivered in a direct, yet genuine way. This is what makes her practice special.
Dr. Steele is a persevering optimist and can hold hope for others even if they can’t hold it for themselves just yet. She’s passionate about her continual path of learning, both as a person and professional. She defines quality healthcare as considering the whole of the person’s health and experiences. Dr. Steele believes everyone has the autonomy to make their own choices and that she’s here to help illuminate those paths. When she’s away from her work, she enjoys crochet, painting, and nurturing her house plants. She has also trained in roller derby, in which she discovered her joy for roller skating.
