COVID-19 precautions

Trust us to take steps to keep you safe from the coronavirus. When patients arrive with respiratory (lung) symptoms, we make sure to care for them in specialized areas designed to reduce the spread of any infection and support their breathing.

If you don’t have symptoms of COVID-19, we’ll care for you in an area that’s separated from patients who do have symptoms.

Emergency department

When you arrive by car at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, follow signs directing emergency patients to parking on the right side of the hospital. You’ll find the emergency entrance on the garden level (below the main level).

Come any time, day or night, for prompt care during a medical emergency.

Facility designed to improve your experience

You’ll go from the waiting area to a patient room where you’ll see a healthcare professional as soon as possible. Our large Emergency department has 37 treatment and 4 triage rooms (with the ability to expand when needed) , each designed for your privacy and comfort.
