Family Birth Center
Welcome your baby to the world with the support of the experts at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula’s Family Birth Center. Trust us to provide not only the highest-quality medical care, but amenities and supplies to make your stay comfortable.
Babies arrive according to their own schedules and in their own time. That's why we're open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Enjoy the peace of mind knowing our experienced, compassionate team is standing by.
Arriving at the birth center
The Family Birth Center is located on the main level of the Community Hospital campus in Monterey.
Parking and valet service
Free valet services are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the main entrance. Give us the stork pass you received after you registered to deliver at the birth center, and we’ll take care of parking your vehicle, so you can go directly to the birth center.
Outside of valet service hours or any time you choose, you may park your vehicle in our outdoor parking lot or underground parking garage. Follow the signs to the “parking pavilion” when you arrive at the hospital from Holman Highway. Use the garage’s elevator to go to the hospital’s main level.
Directions to the maternity department
Enter through the hospital's main entrance and check in with a registrar. You'll pass by the Comforts Gift Shop, koi pond, and Fountains Court Café to access the maternity area.
