Innovative Clinical Practices and Technologies
Seed money enables Community Hospital to fund new clinical technologies and practices. One example is bar-code medication administration, now used throughout the hospital, ensuring the right dose, at the right time, to the right patient. This fund enables us to collaborate with other entities in our region to improve the population’s health, invest in care managers at physician practices, and advance our adoption of Toyota’s Lean manufacturing practice.
Community Hospital endeavors to expand clinical trials in the Tyler Heart Institute, the Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Carol Hatton Breast Care Center, as well as hire a clinical trial administrator. Philanthropy will support these efforts.
Community Wellness and Health Programs
Improving the health of the community starts outside the walls of Community Hospital, requiring continued development and investment in wellness and health programs. We are committed to providing outreach and support programs, including free classes, lectures, and disease management education, and low-cost exercise sessions for area residents.
