Join the many women, men, and high school and college students who contribute so much as volunteers at Montage Health and Community Hospital. Opportunities include the Auxiliary, Hospice of the Central Coast, Chaplain Services, and Therapy Dog Program.
Types of volunteer opportunities
Founded in 1955 by eight community-minded women, the Auxiliary has grown to include more than 450 volunteers. Since its inception, 4 million hours of service have been donated by our volunteers. Members achieve active status upon successfully completing the training.

Therapy Dog Program
Community Hospital has more than 35 volunteers in its Therapy Dog Progam. Each person and their dog make a minimum of one visit a month. The dogs are vaccinated, on a leash, and certified by Therapy Dog International. They navigate inpatient units at the hospital and at Westland House, our skilled nursing center.
