Montage Health and Anthem Blue Cross announce new contract to advance affordability and ensure continued access to care

MONTEREY, CA – Montage Health and Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem) announced they have reached a new agreement, continuing a collaborative relationship that has spanned more than 20 years. The agreement provides Anthem health plan members with continued in-network access to care at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula and all Montage Health services in Monterey County.
The agreement strengthens local access to healthcare services, improves affordability, and supports ongoing collaboration to deliver greater value for patients, employers, and the community.
“This agreement reflects Anthem and Montage’s unified approach to improving affordability while meeting the healthcare needs of local families and employers in Monterey County,” said Beth Andersen, president of Anthem Blue Cross. “We look forward to strengthening our partnership and working together on solutions to address the region’s most pressing healthcare challenges.”
In addition to preserving access, the agreement shows a mutual commitment to slowing the growth of healthcare costs while maintaining Montage Health’s commitment to delivering high-quality care.

The agreement applies to Anthem members enrolled in HMO, EPO, and PPO health plans and provides continued in-network access to all Montage Health services.
