Carmel, CA, January 7, 2026 — Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center, formerly Monterey Spine & Joint, announced today the opening of a new physical therapy clinic in Carmel, expanding access to high-quality rehabilitation services for patients on the Monterey Peninsula. Services at the new clinic began on January 7, 2026.
The new clinic is located at 26625 Carmel Center Place, Suite 200, Carmel, in the space previously occupied by Peninsula Sport Physical Therapy, which closed at the end of 2025.
Prior to closing, Peninsula Sport Physical Therapy notified its patients of the transition and shared information about the opening of Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine physical therapy clinic.
“This new location allows us to better meet the growing demand for physical therapy services in Carmel,” said Dr. Mark Carvalho, CEO, Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center. “We already care for many patients in this community, and this clinic provides convenient access for rehabilitation services close to home.”
The Carmel physical therapy clinic offers the same comprehensive physical therapy services currently available at Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center’s Ryan Ranch location.
All staff members from Peninsula Sport Physical Therapy were offered positions with Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center, helping to ensure continuity of care and a smooth transition for patients familiar with the location.
Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center is pleased to expand its presence in Carmel and looks forward to continuing to serve the community with high-quality orthopedic and rehabilitative care.
