Vaccines for children ages 5-11

Montage Health highly encourages parents to have their children ages 5 years and older get the COVID-19 vaccine. Though risk of severe illness and hospitalizations is not high, it is still possible, and children can spread the illness to others within the community. The FDA and the CDC have approved the use of the vaccine for ages 5-11 under Emergency Use Authorization as they believe the benefits significantly outweigh the risks.

Montage Health will not be holding public COVID-19 vaccination clinics, but there are plenty of providers in Monterey County available for all age groups. For children ages 5-11 years of age, please check with your local pediatric office, pharmacy, and public health clinic. A few are listed below:

    Appointments and walk-ins are available for all age groups ages 5 years and older. Visit MyTurn.
  • Monterey County Health Department
    Pediatric vaccinations will be offered at community clinics starting on Saturday, November 6, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Breadbox Recreation Center in Salinas (745 N Sanborn Road). Visit www.montereycountycovid19.com or call 2-1-1 to find other vaccination locations. Appointments can be made through MyTurn.
  • Stanford Children’s Health
    For existing patients only. Patients will be contacted directly.
  • Monterey Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group
    For existing patients only. Patients will be contacted directly.
  • Pharmacies
    Select pharmacy locations, including CVS, are offering appointments. Visit CVS.
