For decades we have developed a relationship with our community that is built on earned foundations of safety, trust, quality, integrity, and excellence, and we are excited to put that relationship on display at this historic event.

Montage Health is the onsite medical provider of the 78th U.S. Women’s Open as the event makes history by coming to Pebble Beach Golf Links for the first time from July 6–9. Nearly 50 Montage Health employees will volunteer their clinical services to staff two first aid stations, providing a total of 625 clinical volunteer hours donated to the event.

“Montage Health is grateful for the opportunity to keep attendees safe so they can focus on enjoying the event. We want people to know that when they come to Monterey, or if you live here, Montage Health has your healthcare needs covered,” said Dr. Jill Tiongco, U.S. Open Medical Director and volunteer, and internal medicine doctor at Montage Medical Group.

The event is anticipated to bring approximately 55,000 people to Pebble Beach Golf Links, all of whom will have access to Montage Health’s first aid stations treating minor ailments including cuts, bruises, scrapes, bites and stings, and minor muscle injuries.

The U.S. Women’s Open is just one of many events throughout the year where Montage Health donates medical support. The Big Sur International Marathon, Monterey Bay Half Marathon, AT&T Pebble Beach ProAm, PURE Insurance Championship Impacting First Tee, and all Monterey Bay Football Club home games are just a few community events where Montage Health can be found helping event-goers stay healthy, safe, and happy. A life was even saved through the assistance of Montage Health medical team volunteers at the Monterey Bay Half Marathon finish line in 2022.

“For decades we have developed a relationship with our community that is built on earned foundations of safety, trust, quality, integrity, and excellence, and we are excited to put that relationship on display at this historic event,” Tiongco said.

Montage Health’s support of the U.S. Women’s Open is situated within the context of their broader community support efforts. Montage Health’s Community Benefit program facilitates the coordination of all medical volunteers. In total, the Community Benefit program donated 6,580 volunteer hours in 2022 and provided $182.9 million to improve the health of the community.
