Frequently Asked Questions

We look forward to seeing you at our first Employee Town Hall Forum, Monday, December 12. Please see below for a list of frequently asked questions.

Who is invited to attend?

All non-medical staff from Montage Health including Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, Aspire Health, MoGo Urgent Care, Montage Medical Group, and Montage Health Foundation are strongly encouraged to attend, as patient care allows.

Our goal is for as many employees to attend as possible without impacting our patient care or service to our customers.

How will employees be paid for this time?

  • Hourly employees: Attendance at the event is voluntary, but if an hourly or non-exempt employee attends, they will be paid to do so.
    • The time should be coded to the employee’s home department as In-service.
  • Non-exempt employees: Kronos time clocks will be set up. Please note: punch as you normally do when you arrive to work at Community Hospital. *But do not punch out before you leave for the Town Hall Forum. We will ask you to punch in a second time when you arrive at the Monterey Conference Center, in an effort to establish an accurate count of staff attending.

  • Exempt employees: Exempt employees will not be paid extra wages to attend.

Is Montage Health reimbursing gas mileage to attend?

Employees will not be reimbursed for gas mileage used to attend the Town Hall Forum because attendance is voluntary.

If I cannot attend the event in person, or if I work remotely, can I watch the Town Hall on the intranet?

A live virtual option is not offered. However, employees who are unable to attend the Town Hall Forum in person are invited to watch a recording that will be posted on the intranet by Friday, December 16, 2022.
